Hi, I'm Amanda!

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), a girl who hates flowers & loves pizza. But here I am, a former wedding florist turned dietitian. It only took me 1 short month to fall head-over-heels in love with the wedding industry. But sadly, I got burned out after just six years. Now, it’s my mission to make sure that doesn’t happen to you.

When I’m not helping wedding pros increase energy with food and prioritize self-care I’m planning the next adventure with my bestie, eating pizza on a beach at sunset with my husband or I’m swimming in the pool with Murray, our crazy and energetic goldendoodle.

From champagne to cake…

I believe that all foods fit into a well-balanced and healthy lifestyle. You deserve to feel confident in your food choices and energized in life so you can fall in love again with the wedding industry.

My approach to nutrition & lifestyle intervention is similar to planning a wedding: client-centered & highly individualized. But don’t stress- I keep it very simple! You’ve got enough you’re juggling already. Through utilizing a unique nutrition assessment we identify the cause of your low energy so we can immediately begin our work together and bypass all the guesswork! Because who has time for that?

Would you believe me if I said I became a wedding pro almost by accident?

With what was meant to be a part time job while in school, I somehow got swept up into this incredible, hectic, beautiful profession and it changed the trajectory of my life.

I’ve always been a hard worker. My parents instilled in me the value of a dollar and a strong work ethic from an early age. So when I decided to go back to school and double major in nutrition and dietetics and psychology, I found myself asking my parents if I could move back in.

Their response was, “yes, if you have a part-time job too.”

And so I moved back home and found a job with a cute boutique flower shop. It only took me 1 short month to fall head-over-heels in love with the wedding industry!

It was supposed to be part-time while I balanced school and work. But I quickly learned there isn’t much that is “part time” in the wedding pro world. Most weeks I found myself working 50+ hours while going to school.

When I tried to create boundaries and practice self care, I felt guilty and overwhelmed by my ever growing to-do list. The tasks that needed completing felt all too important to care for myself in the process!

Dealing with the enormity of the stress, I found myself reaching for every comfort food available. Inhaling a bag of chips just to make it through the day.

From the tight timelines, last minute changes, bride requests, scheduling, coordinating with other wedding pros (you get the picture), food became a challenge, a coping mechanism, sometimes forgotten and always on the go.

All this to say, I see you. If you find yourself struggling to find that boost of energy & create a work-life balance as a wedding pro, you are not alone! I know it may feel tiresome & dark right now, but I promise, inside there is light shining so bright! And it’s ready to SHINE through!
