A little bit about me, Amanda Jane RDN L/D

My name is Amanda Jane, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, not Dorothy Gale, and I am from New York, not Kansas. I am and will always be, a trustworthy sister, a respectful daughter, a marvelous granddaughter, a fun-loving niece, a loyal friend, and a forever student. In the future I hope to become an inspiring mother, a dependable aunt, and an enlightening grandmother. 

I wholeheartedly believe that knowledge is power.  The more educated people are about health and nutrition, the greater the chance for everlasting change. What I’ve learned going to school and becoming a RDN, is that there is a place where there isn’t any trouble, it’s deep within our souls; we just have to grow the courage to find it.  

The concept of “home” within Dorothy’s story is a powerful metaphor for achieving our ultimate goal.  While Dorothy felt she needed the magic within those ruby slippers to return home, she finally discovered that the power always rested within.  My goal as a dietetic professional is to empower individuals to take control of their health, and to find the sunshine within.  

I have dedicated my career and created this program in hopes of inspiring wedding professionals to realize that change comes from within and being proactive in making changes will undoubtedly lead to accomplishing the most desired of goals.

While watching “The Wizard of Oz,” I have often wondered where the red brick road leads.  What I’ve come to realize is that, it doesn’t matter what color the road is.  The road is our own and we’re in control of overcoming any obstacles along. While my favorite movie is all but a dream, my dreams are very real.  And I will continue to motivate and inspire myself and hopefully you all with my favorite quote, “…and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.”
